About

E H Sciences was set up in 2009 as a specialist consultancy in environmental risk assessment and associated disciplines. Since that time, we have undertaken numerous commissions, including a significant amount of repeat business. With skills and experience across environmental media – land, water and air – project teams are assembled using full-time staff and associates, carefully matching the skills provided to the requirements of each project.

E H Sciences was founded by Mike Quint, who helped pioneer the use of computer-based risk modelling to help manage environmental pollution in the UK. Starting his career in the USA, Mike has almost 40 years of consultancy experience, and has worked for boutique and multidisciplinary firms. He has acted as an expert witness on several occasions, and has contributed to numerous publications, including Environmental Impact of Chemicals: Assessment and Control and Sweet and Maxwell's Contaminated Land (2nd and 3rd Editions).
Mike jointly founded the Society of Brownfield Risk Assessment, and he has served on several national and international committees, including BSI's EH/4 (soil quality), ISO's TC90, and the Toxicology Group of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He was a member of the Cabinet Office's Soil Guideline Value Task Force, and was named by Defra as one of thirteen leading experts within the land contamination sector. Mike has a science degree from Oxford University, he is a Chartered Scientist, and a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
